There were crafts, treats (lots of treats) and and Easter Egg hunt.
We (and I use that term very loosely- because it was mostly the moms) made Easter Bunny Baskets made out of a milk jug and cotton balls. (that's what you get when your best friend is an elementary teacher).
They turned out super cute.

It didn't take Jack long to figure out the whole egg hunt concept.

Ryan caught on pretty fast too. But also enjoyed filing the plastic eggs with rocks. Such a boy!

(no worries... their time will come when they will outrun the big brothers).
Jack and Lucy helping us decorate Easter Eggs. (Jack grabbed a hard boiled egg- and took one big bite out of it. Not what he expected....)
Before we knew it- the Easter Bunny dropped off baskets at our house for Jack and Lucy.

Chris and I were very proud of ourselves because we managed to get ready, pack the car and leave the house on time to make Easter Sunday Mass. However, we only lasted halfway through Mass. You see- Jack doesn't necessarily sit still very long these days. And just when he got antsy, Lucy needed a diaper change. We excused ourselves before we became "that family" in the pew people watched. We know- some day we'll look back and laugh at this.
After Mass, we headed over to Aunt Julie and Uncle Cameron's house for a beautiful Easter Brunch.
Wouldn't you know- the Easter Bunny left more baskets for Jack and Lucy.

What a BEAUTIFUL last picture! Such a beautiful family! It looks like it was a very fun day! :)

ReplyDeleteI love the pic of Diaper Jack sans clothes investigating his Easter basket (lol)! Easter was such fun with Jack, and Lucy looked so lovely in her dress and bow :)
