Blogging Demerits

Wow- if someone should get a demerit for not updating a blog- it should be me.
I have no excuse.
However, now that I'm well into my 2nd Trimester with this pregnancy, I do see more energy in my future- therefore, many more post!
We're going to catch up the best we can.... so here we go!
Jack has been busy this summer.
The kid loves baseball.
He got to "play" with a real bat when he went to watch his dad substitute in a Wooden-Bat League Baseball Game.

He even found a real baseball in Chris's baseball bag that he hasn't let out of site since.

We've also been busy with swim lessons, pool play dates and even the occasional stop at a splash-pad. Jack loves the water. We're lucky he's so comfortable in it.

(check Jack out below at the splash-pad at Desert Ridge. Even though we did not have a swim suit on hand... we try to always pack a swim diaper. So, even though it looks terribly ghetto- the kid had a great time)!

We even had a very brief TV appearance at a local public pool. A friend of mine, who works for the City of Glendale, needed to fill the pool with kids for an early morning news hit. (I felt obligated, since I was the one who used to beg people to wake-up at the crack of dawn to be on TV). So, we dragged Lily and Ryan down to the pool with us bright and early. The boys loved the Zero-Depth area... and kept us on our toes.

And I hate to admit this.... but the live shot was for "the other TV station" We won't even mention out loud which channel... but yes- that's Jack and Ryan with Cory McCloskey.

Please forgive me GMAZ.

My cousin Kylie stayed with us for a short weekend late last month while her parents helped her big sis Katie register at NAU. Kylie was such a big help- and Jack loved playing with her.
To keep busy, we visited the Science Museum- where they had a Lego Castle display. And what would be an afternoon outing without our partners in crime- Lily and Ryan!

Jack loved all of the hands on displays.

But his favorite attraction seemed to be pushing Ryan in his stroller.

We also celebrated a lot of birthdays this summer.
And if you look closely, Jack was front-and-center helping everybody blow out their candles!
Happy Birthday Great-Grandpa Mickey

Grandma Mary

Uncle Chris (bummer- no pic)

Grandpa Dave

Uncle Cameron

And Lou Lou!

What can we say- Jack loves Cake!!
